A few years ago, my life looked completely different. I was a burnt-out math teacher, drinking a little too much, and honestly just wasn't very happy. After getting sober and quitting teaching, I spent the next few years trying to figure out what I was going to do next.

Somewhere during all of that, I started making cookies!

I originally got quoted almost $500 for custom birthday cookies and decided to try making them myself instead. I posted the process on TikTok, immediately became obsessed, and somehow ended up down a rabbit hole of cookie decorating, designing cutters, learning how to 3D print them... and eventually creating gourmet cookies too.

I have always LOVED technology, but before cookies I never really saw myself as a creative person. Cookies ended up feeling like the perfect intersection of both, and for the first time I actually felt creative.

As I started sharing more online, people would constantly ask questions about cookie decorating, how I planned my sets, where I found my cutters, and eventually... where they could buy my cookies! Before I knew it, Cookie Trip had grown into so much more than I ever imagined.

Today, Cookie Trip is home to my monthly gourmet cookie collections, my local cookie cart, and all of the cookie decorating content that started this journey in the first place.

More than anything, I want Cookie Trip to feel fun. I want it to feel colorful, inspiring, and like a place where people can discover incredible cookies, find decorating inspiration, and share in the creativity that made me fall in love with baking.

I honestly have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm having fun doing it!
